If you need a luxury hotel away from the busy city center, just 3 km away is Hotel Velamar. This hotel is blocks away from the beach, three restaurants and a bar. The floors are marble tiled and bathrooms have glass standing showers. You can view several channels on the small room TV in Portuguese, German, and English. The lobby has a large projection TV where people usually sit.
Closest hotel to Faro’s bay and old town festivities. This hotel includes a pool, spa, restaurant, and bayside/streetside balconies. Other amenities include LCD TV in rooms, business conference room, and lounge with wet bar. Right across the street you can find a sushi restaurant as well as a friendly dive bar.
This is the place where your tab doubles by the waiter giving you appetizers without asking for them. Although common in Lisbon, you have to demand the waiter take back the appetizers if you don’t want them. Everything else was nice especially the shrimp curry.
Along many restaurants downtown the waiters stand outside and invite people in, but this one was exceptional and friendly. Not so pushy like the other restaurants because you can tell after many attempts to bring in crowds some waiters just lose that genuine interest to feed you.
Stenaline offers many cruises in Scandinavia, although only two cruises from the port of Gdynia. It’s best to make early reservations at the Stenaline terminal as you can get excellent deals. A three day cruise with a tour of the Karlskrona islands, one night hotel Conrad and the Captain’s suite cost about $500 for two people. This is usually the price for staying in a standard cabin, but you can see the Captain’s suite is totally worth it. The standard cabins are small and the shower head is inconveniently placed over the toilet.
Tawerna was voted best restaurant in Gdansk but you’ll need to put in some effort to find it! It is tucked away in a corner at the end of Long Market street (dlugi targ). There are two entrances. The east entrance is next to a museum and a wall covered with green plants. The main entrance, as seen in the video, has a terrace and vine covered fence.
Cost: $$$ in PLN
